Ivonne Leenen

Ivonne is HEAL’s Communications and Digital Media Officer. She leads HEAL’s communications on chemicals and supports the development of a strong communications, digital and social media strategy for all top-profile environmental health issues discussed at EU and national level.

Ivonne joined HEAL as our Social Media Assistant. Before joining HEAL, Ivonne worked as a Communications intern at the Maastricht University representation in Brussels (UM Campus Brussels). In parallel to her internship, she was also active in the organisation of the student conference Student Forum Maastricht 2015.

Ivonne holds a M.A. degree in European Studies from Maastricht University, prior to which she studied Communications and Public Policy at Zuyd University Maastricht. In addition to her studies, she also enjoyed a high school exchange in the United States and an Erasmus semester abroad in Hungary.

In her free time she enjoys a regular run, music, reading, visiting museums and travelling.
