Book launch: Why women will save the planet

On the occasion of a book launch of ‘Why Women Will Save the Planet’ by Friends of the Earth Europe, HEAL’s Executive Director was invited to speak about the importance of health in the climate debate and how to build awareness of the links between gender equality and environmental protection.

The book ‘Why women will save the planet’ includes a collection of articles and interviews, from some of the leading lights of the environmental and feminist movements, demonstrating that achieving gender equality is vital if we are to protect the environment upon which we all depend. It acts to encourage the environmental and women’s movement to stand up for social justice and environmental sustainability which are two sides of the same coin.
