HEAL’s environmental health champions launched

As part of HEAL’s 10th anniversary, an online photo diary of environmental health champions has been launched. This diary presents the individuals who have made a difference in securing more protective environmental health policies in the EU and beyond over the past 10 years.

This online photo diary aims to tell the story of HEAL’s progress and achievements by highlighting some of the individuals who have contributed to HEAL’s work.

The first group of entries on the occasion of HEAL’s 10th anniversary showcase champions from EU institutions and the scientific world.

The next entries will feature champions from HEAL’s members and partners from all over Europe, and globally. This is a project we will work closely with our members on to thank and celebrate the diverse politicians, scientists, doctors, nurses, cancer patients, asthma suffers, journalists and grassroots activists who make up the environmental health movement and its vibrant resources.

This diary will allow/enable visitors to share their own environmental health champion and we encourage you to nominate your own environmental health champions.

HEAL hopes that this will be a useful tool for identifying and sharing the compelling stories and work of individuals, science and advocacy as we move into the next European Parliament and Commission in 2014.
