Join us at the second Climate and Health Summit in Warsaw

On 16 November the second Climate and Health Summit will take place in parallel to the UN climate negotiations in Warsaw, Poland. HEAL will act as a local convening partner for the Summit.

The Summit is organised by the Global Climate and Health Alliance (GCHA), which was formed in Durban in 2011 to tackle climate change and to protect and promote public health. The Alliance consists of health organisations from around the world including HEAL. The Summit is organised under the auspices of the WHO.

The Summit will highlight the need for action across all sectors to protect human health from the impacts of climate change. It will build a road-map for the international health community to work towards in the run up to the 2015 climate negotiations in Paris. It will draw on the 2011 Durban Health Sector Call to Action and will be used to determine areas for collaboration in the future.

The Summit will take place in parallel to the UN climate negotiations which take place in Warsaw from 11 to 22 November. HEAL will furthermore have a health delegation attending the negotiations.
