Générations Futures – New book on EDCs and the invisible threat
A new book co-authored by Generation Futures’ Francois Veillerette looks at the invisible and real threat of EDCs
EDCs are an invisible threat for at least two reasons according to the book. The first is that they are often authorised chemicals, undetectable to the naked eye and the effects appear for years, sometimes a generation of two, after exposure. The second is that this they are a major public health problem but absent from many political discussions, thus invisible in the public debate. There are a few banned substances such as BPA in baby bottles and food containers, but there are many more EDCs out there that are not banned and still impacting on our health every day.
