Health groups express dismay at potential withdrawal of EU Clean Air Policy Package

Brussels, 18 November 2014, Today, public health, patients’, and medical organisations sent a letter to EU Commission President Juncker expressing their dismay at any consideration to withdraw the EU Clean Air Policy Package, as presented by EU Environment and Health Commissioners Potocnik and Borg in December 2013.

The letter calls on President Juncker to keep the proposal and work with the European Parliament and Council to ensure a swift and ambitious adoption.

The letter was initated by the European Respiratory Society (ERS) and the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations (EFA) and HEAL.
