The impact of air pollution from transport on children’s health and development
HEAL Poland has published a new infographic highlighting the fact that children are particularly vulnerable to suffering impacts from air pollution, with sometimes lifelong consequences, available in English and Polish.
This afternoon, the HEAL Poland team, together with 25+ health experts, health organisations and civil society representatives, met Ministry of Climate and Environment Secretary of State Bolesta, to discuss the ongoing revision of the Ambient Air Quality Directive (AAQD), on which negotiators reached a deal last week. Participants included HEAL partners Prof. Michał Krzyżanowski, Prof. Tadeusz Zielonka, Prof. Bolesław Samoliński, Dr Piotr Dąbrowiecki.
In a letter supported by dozens of Polish health and environment groups, HEAL calls on the newly elected Polish government to accelerate action against air pollution to protect health.
