Letter: Swift action on Contracting Parties’ failure to reduce emissions for coal plants under NERP

The Health & Environment Alliance, Europe Beyond Coal, Climate Action Network Europe, Belgrade Open School, The Green Tank, Centar za ekologiju i energiju and CEKOR have written a letter to Janez Kopač, Director, Energy Community Secretariat, to express  serious concerns about the failure of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia in reducing emissions from large combustion plants, including coal power plants, as foreseen under the National Emission Reductions Plans (NERP).

Letter: Greater effort for clean air for health urgently needed

In view of the urgency for cleaner air, the Health and Environment Alliance (HEAL), the International Association of Mutual Benefit Societies (AIM), the European Federation of Allergy and Airways Diseases Patients’ Associations (EFA), the European Public Health Alliance (EPHA), the European Respiratory Society (ERS), and the Standing Committee of European Doctors (CPME), have sent a letter to all members of the European Parliament, calling for urgent greater effort for clean air for health.

HEAL joins international call for UN Food and Agriculture Organization to abandon partnership with trade industry

In response to stated plans by the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to strengthen ties with a trade association whose members continue to produce highly hazardous pesticides harmful to human health and the environment, HEAL and over three hundred other organizations in over 60 countries have sent a letter to Director-General Qu Dongyu opposing the alliance.
