Global cooperation on exposome research
International Human Exposome Network (IHEN)
IHEN is building a world-wide network of researchers, policy makers, and independent experts to collaborate and improve human exposome research. The project will enhance the impact of future studies in this field, gather specialised tools and resources, as well as develop a roadmap for studying environmental exposures.
HEAL, a project partner of IHEN, is supporting this effort by
- Raising awareness of the environment’s major impact on our health – the human exposome
- Recruiting researchers, policy makers, and independent experts to join the network
- Promoting tools, resources, and events for the exposome research community

IHEN brings together 12 partner institutions from nine countries, coordinated by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal).
